| JERSEY PREMIER FUTSAL |
Futsal 2008-2009 With locations in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, Jersey Premier Futsal is home to the latest and greatest indoor soccer activity anywhere. Played by 5 players on each side (including the goalie), Futsal uses a low bounce ball about the size of a # 4 soccer ball (or a size #3 for children 10 and under). Futsal creates a natural and almost instant process that opens the body to receive, shield, and check-in, to support team mates. Learned trainers and coaches know the importance Futsal in soccer development, and also know that this fairly new sport in the United States has been a staple to the soccer aficionado in South America, Europe and even Asia. Futsal is the official indoor soccer game of FIFA, and Jersey Premier Futsal is a proud affiliate of NJ Futsal Association and is sanctioned by the United States Futsal Federation (USFF). See a video demonstration why FUTSAL IS KING when it comes to indoor soccer. Early on, Jersey Premier Futsal held a "Futsal Only" referee class, and ensured itself of a pool of the finest officials in the State. These referees not only brought their outdoor officiating knowledge with them, but they also brought their ability to mentor young men and women to ensure the future of Futsal Sport in our Region. Jersey Premier Futsal was started in 2006 by Dan Hendi and Tim Jaeger, two local soccer coaches from Flemington and Readington Tp., with a combined playing and coaching experience of more than 40 years and who still actively coach outdoor and futsal teams. Dan is also the co-founder of Hunterdon Outreach Programs, bringing mainstream and challenged children to participate in sports together; the Director of full-sided teams at Greater Flemington Soccer Club; and the Second Vice President of the Mid-New Jersey Youth Soccer Association. Tim is the Vice President of the Readington Travel Soccer Club and a member of the Hunterdon Soccer Club for men. Their passion for the sport of soccer and the development of young players year-round served as the foundation for the Jersey Premier Futsal League. In its inaugural year, Jersey Premier Futsal signed over 62 teams from U-9 to U-17, including premier teams from neighboring States. For 2008-2009 we are delighted to have Joe Raborn join our program. Joe brings over 14 years of soccer coaching and administrative experience and will organize and coordinate the Jersey Premier Futsal U-8 to U-10 Divisions. Joe's club soccer experience as well as his work as the immediate past president of the largest independent soccer club in the Mid-New Jersey Soccer League, will ensure the proper perspective and development of our youngest up-and-coming participants of this "beautiful game". Our mission is simple, SOUND SOCCER DEVELOPMENT - THAT IS COMPETITIVE. |
